Web3 gaming is about to get its biggest upgrade yet with the launch of Play On JOY, the first GameFi hardware publisher redefining how gamers engage with the blockchain. With an innovative gaming console, a proprietary OS, and deep integration into the Berachain ecosystem, JOY is poised to lead the next frontier in digital and physical gaming.
JOY is not just another tech brand. It’s the first-ever physical distribution gateway for Web3 games, blending iconic hardware design with blockchain’s transformative power. Created by UK-based Joy Tech, the project is backed by Build A Bera (Berachain Incubator), the CEO of Laser Digital, and other leading investors in the crypto space.
At the core of the JOY ecosystem is JOY Genesis, a AAA gaming console powered by a custom Web3 Gaming OS and equipped with an integrated hardware wallet. This means gamers can play, trade, and secure their digital assets all from one device.
The JOY Genesis console will launch with native support for Berachain’s entire suite of games, including:
More external titles from partners like Avalon and Providence are also lined up for launch.
JOY OS is a Linux-based operating system built for gamers. Inspired by the success of Steam Deck, it will support mainstream game stores like Steam and Epic Games, ensuring access to traditional titles while integrating:
This seamless interface bridges Web2 familiarity with the Web3 future.
JOY’s mission is to build a hybrid community where on-chain functionality and traditional gaming passion meet. With blockchain-enabled digital identity, asset ownership, and secure transactions, gamers are offered an immersive and sovereign experience.
Daigan, JOY’s Co-Founder & CEO, brings nearly a decade of hands-on Web3 expertise and has led multiple successful blockchain projects, including Somnia Network, Vega Protocol, and London Blockchain Labs. His gaming credentials are equally strong—expect him to dominate in any genre.
The hardware team includes industry veterans Earl Mai and Pral Bhojak, with over 30 years in ASIC design. Mai, formerly Lead Architect at AMD, helped build the GPUs for PlayStation 4 and 5, while the engineering team has developed chips from 32nm to 7nm and maintains relationships with Qualcomm, TSMC, and AMD.
Timing is everything. With over 3 billion gamers globally and only 60 million active Web3 users, there’s a massive opportunity to onboard gamers into the blockchain space. JOY aims to bridge this gap by providing:

With the launch expected in 2025, JOY is strategically positioned to capture the rising wave of Web3-native AAA titles funded during the 2021–2022 cycle.
Stay in the loop and be part of the gaming revolution:
Play On JOY isn’t just a console. It’s the future of Web3 gaming—powered by community, built on cutting-edge tech, and designed for those who believe gaming should be fun, secure, and truly yours.
